There are so many places to eat here in Jakarta. There are local Indonesian restaurants, Japanese restaurants, Chinese restaurants, Italian Restaurants, and so many more! Choosing a restaurant to eat in for lunch or dinner in Jakarta is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do! Not really, but the point is there are so many places and choices to choose from here in Jakarta. So the question is, how do you choose the right place to have lunch or dinner in? Do you just walk into a random restaurant? Well first all, good ambiance and service really seeks attention. Would you want to eat at a restaurant with bad ambiance and bad service? The answer is no. Most importantly is good food. No one wants to eat in a restaurant with bad food. So do you now know where to eat for lunch or dinner?
Great post considering this is where my wife and I like to eat. I agree with you that there are plenty of great restaurants here in Jakarta. What keeps me away from a lot of them is traffic. I won't even go near Kemang or downtown these days to get a bite to eat because you might be starving by the time you get there. Pepenero is at least easily accessible and like you said, the food is great, the atmosphere is nice, and it is very reasonably priced. Enjoy your next meal...
